The
Francesco Paolo Ingrao Collection, donated to Cagliari Council
28th July 1999, is housed in the renovated spaces of the Communal
Art Gallery.
The collection covers and arch of time stretching from the mid
19th century through the whole of the 20th century, displaying,
above all the Secessionism movement, started in Rome, from the
1910s through the second world war and from after the war to the
80s.
There
are about 250 works, of which 40 are
sculptures, presented throughout 15 rooms on
two floors of the gallery,
the ground floor and the first floor.
A further 250 works including paintings, designs, engravings,
terracotta statues, bronzes, plaster figures, marble and wooden
sculptures, are displayed in three rooms on the ground floor,
with references to F. P. Ingrao.
