Sardinian Railway MuseumThe collection in this museum shows the history of the railways in Sardinia.

The railways started in 1860 with the foundation of the "Compagnia Reale delle Ferrovie Sarde" (Italian-English) which, from 1863 to 1883, built 400km of standard gauge line under the direction of Benjamin Piercy.

Between 1886 and 1897 the so-called "Complementary" narrow gauge was added.

On exhibit are photographs, a telegraph from the Ferrovie Reali, machinery, sections of track, instruments and documents, station and train furnishings and models.
