Fluminimaggiore is a mining town situated in a beautiful hilly landscape.

The area boasts a rich Neolithic patrimony, with archaeological finds dating back to

In the surrounding countryside, visitors should not miss the grotto of Su Mannau,
with its fascinating testimony to the Punic and Roman civilisations,
the Punic-Roman Temple of Antas and the beautiful beach of Portixeddu.
This is a marvellous beach with golden sand and is a paradise for surf-casting enthusiasts. It is set in a beautiful frame of majestic sand dunes, covered in native varieties of pines and oaks.

Music lovers should not miss the classical music concert which is held every year,
in July, in the extraordinary Temple of Antas.
