16th - "IS FOGADONIS" - Bonfire in honour of Saint
Antonio Abate -Fluminimaggiore
In different parts of the village they light "is fogadonis"
(bonfire), prepared with branches from the rock rose. For the
occasion visitors are offered boiled beans and pork, sweets
and drinks.

Exhibition of local crafts and food. Tasting of typical cous
cous dishes prepared in live cooking demonstrations.

14th - SAGRA DEL TONNO (The Tuna Festival) - Portoscuso
Tasting of tuna cooked according to the local tradition. Conference
on tuna fishing.
July
19th FESTIVAL OF THE FISHERMEN -Carloforte
Free fried fish and local wine.
August
8th - THE GOAT FESTIVAL -Fluminimaggiore
Preparation and tasting of typical dishes from Fluminimaggiore
"craba e cappottu" (goat cooked with potatoes and
onions), bread, cheese and drinks. The local shepherds give
a demonstration of the preparation of cheese.
14th - SAGRA DELLA CUPPANADDA - Carloforte
Free tasting of salted tuna with tomatoes, cucumbers and gallette
(local bread) seasoned with olive oil.
End of the month - THE HONEY FESTIVAL (Sagra del Miele) -Guspini
Show and tasting. Conference on bee keeping.
