strong dry, dry.
Liqueurs:
sweet and bitter after dinner drinks, as well as distilled liqueurs
made from myrtle berries and lemons and Su
fil'e ferru (Sardinian brandy, or 'acqua vite').
The latter gets its name from the custom that farmers had of burying
the illegally produced home-made brandy and then marking the spot by
sticking a piece of wire into the ground.
