Trinità D'Agultu Population:
approx. 1,935 Altitude: 365 m. above sea level Trinità
D'Agultu was originally a small stone structure where sheep were kept ("stazzo"),
which developed into an agricultural town in the nineteenth century. The surrounding
coastal area is particularly interesting. - Isola
Rossa.
The name derives from the small red island that stands in front
of the coast. Its striking colour comes from the deep pink, porphyritic granite
which forms the rock mass. The surrounding beaches are all very varied and of
exceptional beauty. - Portobello di
Gallura.
This is a tourist complex which boasts one of the most beautiful
stretches of sea in Sardinia. - Porto
di Vignola.
This is a group of houses which are virtually situated
on the shoreline. The area has experienced a significant increase in tourism and
development in recent years. An impressive Spanish Tower rises up on the north-west
side of the rock mass. | |
