Grotte di Su Marmuri (Ulassai)

These caves lie just a short distance from the town and are considered to be among the largest in Europe.

They are about 1,000m. long and between 30-50m. high and the temperature inside the caves remains around a constant 10° C.

The names of the chambers reveal the magnificent concretions which can be admired there, such as the "Organ Chamber" and the "Cactus Chamber", where the famous stalagmites and stalactites form splendid natural sculptures.
