The Nuragic Village of Tiscali (Oliena)

Monte Tiscali is situated behind Monte Corrasi, at the bottom of the splendid, wild valley of Lanaito, and the fascinating Nuragic village of Tiscali lies in an enormous cave inside the mountain.

The Nuragic people built a fortified settlement in the very heart of the mountain, perfectly concealed from invaders. A visit to this Nuragic complex in the magical cave environment is an unforgettable experience, with its unique microclimate, the splendid colours of the limestone and the impressive stalagmite formations.

The village was built during the Nuragic period, but it was almost certainly inhabited during Roman and Medieval times as well.
