Spiaggia Coccorocci
The
sand dunes on this beach are made up of a vast expanse of porphyritic
shingle, which is prevalently dark in colour, but varies with shades
of pink, grey and green and almost certainly originates from volcanic
rock.
It is the largest shingle beach in Sardinia and offers an extraordinary
panorama of the Ferru and Cartucceddu mountains which overshadow the
coast with their impressive rocks and dense forests.
