Wines

The Sarrabus district is well known for its fine wines. Besides the famous Monica di Sardegna and Vermentino di Sardegna, there is also the celebrated Cannonau di Sardegna D.O.C. Capo Ferrato.

It is produced with the finest quality grapes, harvested just at the right moment so that the maceration process produces a full-bodied wine. The grapes are harvested, the stalks are removed and then they are left to macerate for a few days in their skins.
The wine is then decanted in oak barrels and left to mature.

Technical Label: :

Cannonau grapes

Types: fine, still table wine or strong, sweet dessert wine

Alcohol content: 13,5° - 15°

Colour: : ruby red, tending to burgundy as it matures

Bouquet: winey with a slight aroma of violet flowers

Flavour: dry wine to accompany main courses or sweet wine to accompany desserts, but always balanced, smooth and warm

Recommended vintage: two years for table wine, three years for dessert wines

Recommended serving temperature: : 15° for dessert wine, 18° for table wine.

The table wine is perfect for any meal, but the older vintages particularly exalt red meat, game and mature cheese dishes.

The strong, sweet wine is suitable for all desserts.
