The Campo Pisano Mine (Iglesias)


The concession for the exploitation of this mine dates back to 1876. At Campo Pisano visitors can see the remains of the large plants used for processing the extracted minerals, which were connected to all the mines in the Sulcis - Iglesiente district by a system of underground tunnels.

The mine was used for the extraction of dolomite, galena, malachite, pyrite and quartz.
