The Nebida Mine (Nebida)

This mine dates back to ancient times, when small deposits of galena, rich in silver, were discovered there.

After 1872 new excavation work was carried out and a vein of galena blended with calamine was discovered.

In 1910, out of the 3000 inhabitants of the town, 1000 worked in the mine. However, as time passed, mining activity gradually began to decrease until the mine was eventually closed.
